Wow, I can not believe that I am almost a month since my last post. My apologize; time flew through the holidays, seeing family and friends in Austin, New York, and Wisconsin (Milwaukee, Wausau, Antigo) and the last two weeks back in Austin seeing friends and trying to get everything organized before final departure for the year ahead. Such a unique feeling to be stepping on a plane in Austin on Jan 14th knowing, if all goes well, I will not be touching down back on US soil for about a year!! – Crazy! – Cool, fun and exciting, but crazy!
So, my plan was to hop on that plane and have a week with friends in Sayulita, Mexico to celebrate my birthday and to have time to update my blog and put up a number of new post, including pics and stories of seeing old friends and family from the holiday get togethers and farewell festivities, a list of all the various water organizations as references and some general facts about the clean water issue around the world!! – I was totally excited!! But, my computer did not oblige. I arrived in Sayulita just fine and enjoying my time with friends, but sadly my computer screen went bad and I can only see grey on it – very depressing! – felt like getting my arm cut off!!
I promise that I will update, and provide a number of pictures and stories once I get my computer back and running, but for now, I just wanted to let you know that i was down for a bit, but I will return. I did do a brief update on my itinerary, fa thumns and all on my iPhoke, which includes the next two weeks of projects in Guatemala. The first week is with Blue Planet Network and their in Country Partner Agua Para La Salud who is doing work on a project in Huehue, Guatemala on a water and sanitation system for a school, among others that I will join in on. The second week, I will be working with Potter House in country team and a team from Staten Island, NY on helping to build a house for a family currently living off the landfill in Guatemala City.
Anyway, more to come once I get the computer back! Until then thank you all for all your positive good thoughts and energy!! More than greatly appreciated!
